Gull & Greed
Gulls are pretty common on the Oregon coast
Being so numerous they almost become invisible
Until we see them with great majesty sitting atop
A monolith gazing to a distant point with clarity
Then a french fry is tossed in their direction
The majesty disappears the full flock descends
On the discarded and litter of unwanted fast food
Oh how greed makes the powerful deeply flawed
